The Power of Preparation

December 21st, 2007 by hoseab

“Everybody has a will to win. What’s far more important is having the will to prepare to win.” Bobby Knight, quoted by Clarence Thomas in My Grandfather’s Son.

I think the distinction is tremendously important. Too often we view our failures as a lack of will or even as an indication that God is not listening to our prayers, when the real culprit may be an unwillingness to pay the price of preparation.

Champions do not simply desire; champions prepare!

A Word From Hosea

I love serving as the senior pastor of Ridgecrest Baptist Church! I focus much of my time and energy on seeking God as I am preparing messages which are biblically based and profitable for the hearers. I serve as an Elder, and serve with our excellent deacons in the care of God's people. Debbie and I sing with our family and friends, presenting an annual Bilyeu Family Concert in August each year.
